ABOUT THIS PIECE
This Melissa Roadan piece is a detailed hand crafted collage. It is carefully constructed with figurative drawings of mixed medium charcoal and ink on paper. It is surrounded with handsewn details of yarn creating a cohesive background. It also includes paper cut out butterflies, enhancing the piece. At the center, it is carefully divided to create a mirror image of both surrealism and hyperrealism; a perfect balance. The work is glued on a white board and framed in glass of a white border. This collage was created by the artist during her time living in Florence, 2021. However, this piece was renovated by the artist, prior to its current exhibition placement, this Feburary 2024. This piece is currently on display at DBL Bella Vista, Dominican Republic, as part of their corporate art exhibit available to ARTGALA LLC members as Immediate Sales. This piece is available by request at our immediate sales department; selection DBL ART to select clients of ARTGALA LLC. It has no applicable Terms of Sales, and it is a suitable piece to enhance an ongoing formal and serious blue chip collection, highlighting mid-career Latin female artists. This piece also includes the certificate of authenticity provided to the current owner, issued by the initial sellers, the artist.
